11. October 2017 Press Release

in-tech joins MathWorks Connections Program

Membership ensures latest features and long-term support for the company's own automotive test system orangeHiL

The membership is based on in-tech’s modular hardware-in-the-loop system, orangeHiL, which is specifically designed for use in the automotive and transportation sector and provides a real-time capable simulation and testing environment based on MATLAB®, Simulink®, and Simulink Real-Time™. MathWorks® is the world’s leading developer of technical computing software for engineers and scientists.

The MathWorks Connections Program is available to third-party organizations that develop and distribute complementary, commercially available products, training, and consulting based on MATLAB and Simulink. These partner offerings address technical needs across a wide range of applications and industries worldwide with software and hardware products that extend the usage of MATLAB and Simulink. These solutions seamlessly integrate with MathWorks products and ensure ongoing compatibility in conjunction with new MathWorks releases.

“When we heard about the MathWorks Connections Program, we knew it would be the perfect fit for orangeHiL”, says CEO Christian Wagner. “We are so excited to join with MathWorks because it places us very close to development, ensures our product always has the latest versions and features, and provides us with long-term support. That is something our customers benefit from as well.”

orangeHiL is not only more cost-efficient than comparable solutions, but the modular concept makes the system easily expandable. Furthermore, it enables a distributed system setup, which can be necessary for high voltage security-relevant applications (e.g. in electrical vehicles). It can be integrated into any tool chain, and existing simulation models from other platforms can easily be adapted or integrated. orangeHiL features interfaces to all common test automation systems and can be controlled and monitored via wireless tablet. MATLAB, Simulink, and optionally Stateflow® and Simscape™ can be used to build the necessary models for HiL testing. In addition, Simulink Real-Time APIs can be used to connect to your own tools or to an individual customer’s tool chain which includes several third-party applications.
