in-tech presents intelligent remote monitoring for all industrial plants with ADS controllers
Condition monitoring via app - engineering specialist in-tech now offers the intelligent app easymon for all Beckhoff controllers with Automation Device Specification (ADS) interface. With easymon, users can now access data values of the ADS controllers live and are informed in real time if manual intervention is necessary. As of now, the software is available for download on the easymon landing page. "Our mobile application was previously reserved for users of PLCnext controllers from Phoenix Contact. We are therefore very pleased to have gained another strong partner in Beckhoff Automation," says Tobias Wagner, Managing Director at in-tech.
Plant status at a glance at all times
The name says it all at in-tech: The installation and commissioning of easymon were deliberately designed by the developers to be very simple and intuitive. With easymon, plant parameters that should not exceed a certain value, for example, can be monitored using a smartphone. For this purpose, the easymon connector accesses the ADS interface of the controller to read out variables from the program." A convenient web interface can be used to select data points to be monitored and to set thresholds and criteria for notification. In addition, the easymon app is installed on a mobile device that communicates with the machine via a cloud service.
Early detection of deviations and problems
"With the easymon app, users can independently define the events for which the system should automatically contact them - and can devote themselves to other tasks in the meantime," he says. The mobile device displays the current values live and notifies the user as soon as the predefined threshold values are reached. The user receives a warning if the values are exceeded and can thus detect at an early stage whether there is a problem on the machine and proactively rectify the deviation or damage.
Can be used worldwide - secure data transmission
With easymon, several plants can be monitored with one app as well as one plant with different mobile devices. Due to cloud compatibility, the app can be applied worldwide and different plants at different locations can be monitored from one place. Data transmission is encrypted and stored on servers in the EU.
Transparent pricing model and optional extensions possible
The software is adaptable to different industrial systems and can also be extended to implement individual "predictive maintenance" applications, for example. Each user can select the offer that suits him best and pays a flat rate per month - without hidden costs. The software for the Beckhoff ADS interfaces are available immediately on easymon's landing page.
