We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our offices to Bangalore along with our established presence in Kochi. The focus of the expansion is on Automotive Electronics & working on making the car of the future autonomous, electric, and connected. As a strategic development partner, we support our customers throughout the entire product development process: from development to system integration to after-sales.
We are looking for Android Developer to join our team in Bangalore, with Hybrid working model. As a member of our in-tech team, you will work with experienced engineers from different countries and the latest technology every day.
Responsibilities
Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Work with outside data sources and APIs.
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and code reviews.
Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.
Requirements
Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of proven software development experience and Android skills development.
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. Familiarity with continuous integration.
Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet, AUTOSAR.
Familiarity with in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with Android Automotive OS (AAOS), Google Automotive Services (GAS) will be added advantage.
